The haveli was commissioned to serve as the residence of Diwan Mohata Nathmal, the then Prime Minister of the city. Maharawal Beri Sal constructed this haveli, and the architectures were ‘Hathi’ and ‘Lulu’ the two brothers. Nathmal-Ki-Haveli is considered to be the best one in the city in terms of grandeur and architecture.

The most wonderful part of its architecture is it includes two elephants of yellow sandstone, engraved pillars and walls, horses, cattle, and depiction of flora which is truly an awe-inspiring structure. The havelis are a perfect blend of Rajput and Islamic architectural style.
