Lodurva

A small village in Jaisalmer, Lodhurva is also known as Lodrawa which is located at a distance of 15 kilometers to the north-west Jaisalmer. Lodhurva was the ancient capital of Bhatti dynasty till 1156 AD when Rawal Jaisal founded the Jaisalmer state and shifted their capital to the city.

It is the most popular tourist destination in Jaisalmer that is well-known for its architectural ruins and surroundings of the desert. Lodhurva is also famous for the Jain Temple which is dedicated to 23rd Tirthankara, Parshvanath destroyed in 1152 AD. The other places to visit in Jaisalmer are Rishab Nath Temple, Chamunda Mata Temple, an old Temple of Shiva, and Sambhavnath Temple.
